My uncle has a seafood restaurant here in Louisiana and he has employees from Honduras. The workers from Honduras are some of the kindest folks I've ever met. They shake my hand every day really meaning friendship. Very eager to learn English as well as I am eager to improve my Spanish. We teach each other how to speak our language while I'm around my friends.

The issue isn't "Caloric intake"- it's nutrition. The Quality of food. For example, blacks in the United States are among the most obese, despite being collectively poor and living in areas with no supermarkets. Cheap food is fattening and unhealthy. But the older people can get by on it. It's the youngsters who'll face grow stunts and malnutrition related diseases.
