I agree, check out my video from there!
To all of those thinking of visiting Colombia, Do not forget to visit Medellin!
New " Place" app helps you find any place! Just either talk or type whatever you are looking for, and it will present a list of the places closest to you.
The app then clearly speaks out the details of it and a map showing the address of the place.
The app will also guide you to the place, using augmented reality! Just look at the street around you, and the app will project the place on your screen, together with the current distance.

I went to Bogota back in 2008, and I was supprised to see that you covered a lot of the basic 'tourist' places my group got to go to. I guess our hosts were good to us! some of the best memories were still visiting locals in their homes. =)
gunplay sent me here
im thinking about going to colombia in june... This video gets me excited :)
have lived in bogota for a while now the place is brilliant, would defiantly recommend going to the simon boliver park and the "zone t" for a night out. p.s the mango you buy on the street is with limon and sal (salt not sugar) good video
I suppose, but I think it's just a matter of staying hydrated and not to push yourself if you're feeling tired or strained.
Hey, isn't altitude something to take in account in Bogotá if you're from a coastal city? I mean.. The city is 2.5kms amsl. I'm from a coastal city and when I go to cities around the height of Medellin I show signs of altitude mis-adaptation such as faster heartbeats and faster breathing.
NO USES BOLSAS PLÁSTICAS

Don't be scared. Unfortunately Colombia has some safety issues but not like how hollywood shows it. I have many friends that went to colombia and loved it. and they came saying "the only risk is wanting to stay" (thats how the government is promoting tourism). You do have to have some precautions like not showing off your cell phone, or expensive jewelry just to prevent any unwanted experience.
@dmcc20012 remember it is Colombia NOT Columbia!
Awesome video very educational and entertaining!! I¨m currently in Villa de Leyva about a 3 hour drive from Bogota and I´m visiting Zipaquira tomorrow morning, this vid helped me out a lot thank you. Hope to see more of your videos soon.
Im an American in Bogota, I dont feel scared, use precautions, if you female I would advise you to try to look like a Colombian, dont stand out, and dont travel alone at tnight.
I lived here all my life and never been a victem to crime, its a lot safer that it was 20 years ago, just stay out of the poor areas and be careful of what you are wearing do not were expenisive jewerly.
Were you ever concerned about your safety, being in Bogotà? I have the opportunity to go with a friend from school, but I am a little scared. |
