@mariodela yeah right,, not typical from Venezuela.... I know your right... but at the same time your awfully wrong. Salsa, per say, is typical from Latin / Central America.. but Oscar de Leon is a Salsa Singer that highly represents Venezuela. U CANT add Oscan de Leons music to a colombian video. and why are we speaking english si hablamos espaniol perfectamente bien... saludos

@Elex250 Wrong "musica llanera" is not typical from venezuela. It comes from the "llaneros" or the cowboys of south america. I know that they were all over the south but that was many years ago so maybe venezuela was LA GRAN COLOMBIA but i rather say that was way before that. I dont say that music is from colombia, just saying is about the region and most of that region is in venezuela but also in los llanos de colombia where this airplanes take off.

@88pie88 I hope everyone thinks colombia is like this! proud of being colombian! the best pilots in the world are right there they are literally risking their lives to make other people life better! They are flying in Amazonas is like flying over the everglades and saying i hope you dont think that florida is all swamp. Amazonas is the biggest rainforest in the world. Just where this guys are flying

@88pie88 USA USA USA USA!

i hope nobody here thinks colombia is like this everywhere. I lived there for 3 years, wish never came back to the US. Food is dirt cheap, no taxes, free health care (and the best i might add) best women, best technology, there cars go 60 miles a gallon. Everything is just better then shithole USA.

Primitive third world operation. Very dangerous. Don't fly with them.

@MississippiBryo and who says current didn't buy the docs? it clearly says at the and "a tony col.. prod for aljazeera".

Mechanic was so quick to criticize the US standard, and THEN they had to bring it to the shop anyway, lol... is crow a delicacy there?

Despite of all risk that the video show, there a few accidents in this part of the country, this part of Colombia is Most Jungle so the you can pretend the people fly in a 747 right? also the Pictures of the crash planes are not from Colombia those planes were crash in Brazil.

I was a pilot in Panama, those guys on the video are crazy brave

Nice to hear some Typical VENEZUELAN music in a Colombian Report haha

When I travel in South America I love taking these types of flights, it a real thrill.... I'll fly in dam near anything.... But I'm terrified of heights

BTW, Now that!! is a real pilot!

DC-3 style airplanes are some of the few heavy airplanes able to land in such harsh conditions. Since these are all god-forgotten towns in the middle of nowhere that do not represent any economical benefit, not the government nor high profile airlines will ever be landing there or invest in those runways. That situation will continue for more years to come until the people leaving in these places move or until they find oil nearby. Whichever happens first. It's just simple economics.

Very experienced pilots...relying on sight more than on the instruments!

There is a Colombian governmental airliner that serves most of the routes that are not productive.... however these planes cannot land in this non paved runways... whats the point of buying new cargo planes if you cannot land?? Thats why DC3s and antonovs are used.... These are most of times small indian villages.... So then if government starts going there NGOs start complaining.....

WOW! These are real pilots!

@marcotoro sad but true

@SomoshiphopRadio If that happens, the politicians could not make 8000.00 dollars a month

24:16 the door to heaven :D
