wrong sir. quicksilver is not the same compound as a pure mercury compound. quicksilver is a compound mixed with other minerals, since in this case the mercury compound is found in nature and thus mixed with other minerals it is NOT absorbed through the skin.

You are wrong. Mercury can be absorbed through the skin. Mercury can enter the body through inhalation, ingestion and skin absorption. I worked in the medical field and saw 2 children die from playing in an abandoned warehouse that had 50 gallon barrels of mercury. They touched it with their hands and stuck them in the barrel because it looked neat to them since it looks metal but was in liquid form. They both died in less than 3 days.
