This plane was NOT hijacked. Do some research people...it just crashed.

What a heroic pilot. That is the only time I've ever heard of a pilot ever regaining control of his hijacked aircraft. I've heard the pilot who regained control of that plane at the last minute was the same pilot who made that emergency landing in the river Hudson.

The pilot survived, it was the 3rd time he'd been hijacked apparently! Considering he was literally wrestling with the hijackers as he ditched in the sea he did a great job. Loads more people would have died if he hadn't picked a spot so close to shore. Unfortunately quite a few people died because they inflated their life vests before they exited the plane and so got trapped and drowned.

The death toll would've been ALOT higher had this been in the middle of the ocean! God Bless those tourists for helping those poor people!
